Biological leakage

Whilst visiting my former stamping ground the RSA yesterday I came across The Trouble with Words by Interbrand writing guru John Simmons. The book was written back in the early 1990s and explores the power of words.

Simmons gives one particularly inelegant example of a marketing director at the Daily Telegraph referring to the fact that its readership (with perhaps an older demographic than most newspapers) was dying off:

"We have a problem of biological leakage"

I'm delighted to note that Simmons new book is published tomorrow: Dark Angel: How Writing Releases Creativity At Work. Should be good.
